Ridge-hand Strike. It's quick and easy and great for when the fight takes you toe to toe.
Favorite Technique:
Jackie Chan is my favorite karate movie star because he is so good at his moves and adds some humor, too. He has a very likeable personality that comes across in his movies.
Favorite Karate Movie Star:
Rush Hour because it's recent enough to have great fighting and pretty funny at times.
Favorite Karate Movie:
I love the opportunity to perfect each move from top to bottom. Just learning a new move doesn't make you good at it. The challenge is in what you can do with it. How far you can take it and build it.
Something You Love About Karate:
When I was little, I got into it as a sport to try. My parents thought it would be good to broaden my experiences and it seemed like fun to me. But that was in 2000 and I'm still in it!
When did you first want to learn Karate?
I watched the classes and the kids were serious, but having fun and so I thought, "I want to try what they're doing!"
Why did you want to learn Karate?
